15% Carbon Filled PTFE Tube

15% Carbon Filled PTFE Tube

Why use carbon material mixed with PTFE? As it gives good compression and wear resistance, good thermal conductivity and low permeability.

Content

What is 15% Carbon Filled PTFE Tube?

15% carbon filled PTFE tube is primarily used in applications where higher thermal or electrical conductivity is required, over and above conventional PTFE. This carbon filled PTFE grade also exhibits improved wear life and has very good compression properties, for loading applications. 15% carbon filled PTFE tube has good abrasion resistance, load bearing, wear and frictional properties under sliding conditions, ranging from dry to fully lubricated systems.

Carbon Filled PTFE Grade

C8510- 10% carbon fiber filled PTFE
C8515- 15% carbon fiber filled PTFE
C8520- 20% carbon fiber filled PTFE
C8525- 25% carbon fiber filled PTFE

Key Features of 15% Carbon filled PTFE include

15% carbon filled PTFE tube can be operating Temperatures ranging from -200°C up to +260°C, it has excellent chemical resistance against virtually all media, it is partially electrically conductive and anti-static. It has improved dimensional stability and creep resistance over standard grades of PTFE
Improved dynamic bearing performance, good sliding properties. carbon filled PTFE tube also provides good thermal conductivity, low permeability and is also electrically conductive making it a good choice for anti-static applications.

Applications

• Engineering design components with antistatic specifications
• Valve housings, seats
• Wear guides
• Slide bearings
• Piston seals
• Bushings
• Liners
