What is Natural PEEK Sheet?

Natural PEEK sheet is a unique engineering thermoplastic plastic offering high temperature resistance, toughness, rigidity, and creep resistance. PEEK is considered the most popular advanced engineering plastic with a unique combination of high mechanical properties, temperature resistance and excellent chemical resistance. Natural Peek sheet is resistant to a wide range of solvents, making it an excellent material for use in a wide spectrum of applications where thermal, chemical and combustion properties are critical to performance.

Natural PEEK sheet can be used continuously to 260°C and in hot water or steam without permanent loss in physical properties. And we can make Peek sheet 1 mm thickness to 100 mm thickness. And we have large stocks of Peek sheet ready to be shipped.

Features and Benefits of Natural PEEK Sheet

Natural PEEK sheet has excellent mechanical and chemical resistance, highly resistant to thermal degradation, excellent strength, stiffness and dimensional stability. Natural PEEK sheet is easy to process and has lightweight compared to steel, aluminum and titanium. It also has low coefficient of friction and high wear resistance without lubrication. Natural PEEK sheet has high temperature resistance up to continuous 260°C.

Weakness

It is price, price and price! Peek is the high price plastic as almost four times the cost of PTFE for example, which usually limits its application to high value items. In addition, PEEK is not a shape memory polymer.

Applications of Natural PEEK Sheet

Natural PEEK sheet is widely used for semiconductor machinery components, aerospace parts, Bushings, bearings, seals, and back-up rings, pump and valve components, vacuum wand handles, down hole electrical connectors, medical instrument parts, food processing machinery components.

Peek Sheet Grade and Colors

PEEK-450G

PEEK-450G is the peek sheet made of natural unfilled peek materials, PEEK-450G Peek sheet is a high performance, high temperature, semi crystalline thermoplastic sheet manufactured by us and may use Victrex® PEEK 450G or Solvay Ketaspire® KT-820 polymer. The color is light-brown.

Vesta-GF30

Vesta-GF30 is a special 30% glass filled PEEK sheet. In comparison to unfilled PEEK, this glass fiber reinforced material exhibits increased mechanical strength and high rigidity. Furthermore, Vesta-GF30 Peek sheet has improved creep strength and dimensional stability are achieved by this glass filled PEEK. These properties make this material suitable for use in parts which are exposed to high static loads over long periods in high temperature conditions.

Vesta-CF30

Vesta-CF30 is a special 30% carbon fiber filled PEEK sheet material that is manufactured by us. Its carbon fiber reinforcement lends the material a high level of rigidity and creep strength. Carbon fiber reinforced PEEK demonstrates very high mechanical strength values, while exhibiting lower density than 30% glass fiber filled peek. Furthermore, carbon fiber composites tend to be less abrasive than glass fibers while simultaneously resulting in improved wear and friction properties. The color is black.

Peek Sheet Can be Glued?

PEEK Sheet is very tricky to bond, it has low surface energy which prevents things like adhesives being able to grab on. Depending on the adhesive used, surface roughening may increase in the bond strengths.
